This world did not know what to do with her
She was too much
Too loud
Too of everything
She was more
More of everything
They kept telling her she was one of them
she looked
fearfully began to accept
until she wasn't
all of her passion
all of her sanity
it cost her
she looked around
no one
really
looked like her
she did not feel lonely though
only suffocated
where was she supposed to be in all the darkness
and this darkness not her own
not a good kind of darkness
a consuming dirty one
one and all the same
one and all of the any carried
she did not
she could not
it would kill her
what she felt inside
nothing could explain
could this be a part of the playground
was she too
to be inspected
to be sold
to be ensured
to be known
and yet always stay unknown
like all the sanitorials
she knew exactly where she belonged
but that part of the story to the citizens of the Brave New World
still kept unknown
she saw too much
born with a deadly awareness
wish she could forget and live like the cold ice darkness
and wish she was not the warmth who kept the peace
wish she had not been the locus
channeling all that comes on aboard
wish she could forget how to empathize
mistaking things that she never owned
they kept telling her she wasn't special
no such thing as unique
but when she was gone
they could gladly name her
