"The arrogant are wise in their own eyes, but the wise will recognize their lies."
~ Unknown Writer
Dear Reader,
Welcome Home.
For some while, I've been thinking about whether I should continue this series, If so how? So while I focused on expressing the darkness, I was illuminated by the dark for this particular situation. Afterwards, I've encountered this astonishing and yet so simple bunch of words. I've realized that I'd like to talk about the origins of arrogance.
Before I begin, I'd like to make an addition to this quote by adding one of my favourites.
Real eyes
Realize
Real lies.
When I first saw these spectacular words together, holding on marvellously to each other, like they're the halves they lost and lacking for so long. However, when I saw it approximately 5 years ago, what captured my attention was the rhyme, their inexpressible rhythm. My devotion to words is amaranthine. A person once called me a "lexical queen" above my obsessive habits for throning or dethroning words. That person was exactly right.
Returning to this cute sentence, what I did not realize of this sentence back then was its subjects. I did not personify them, because what I had with its melody seemed enough, now I see that it was not. Real eyes are the wise ones, real eyes are the ones brave enough to face the ruthless cruelty of reality. Real eyes are realitational heroines. Real lies are the ones we see as our own truth, before we consciously choose to open our eyes.
The actionified decision of opening our eyes is easy to say, unfortunately, suffering to do. It will not happen overnight, therefore requires a good amount of patience.
It takes a good amount of time to recognize wisdom as it is as well, however not necessarily. Wisdom is a path, just like philosophy, love towards knowledge. As I explained in one of my previous texts, a word has many meanings above the surface, and that many below. The words, the sentences are not one-dimensional; as long as you're willing to see, using your real eyes.
Usually, we don't believe in what we can't visually perceive; however at times that might not be the case. We should be open, to any kind of knowledge. The used can on the street says so much itself, if you decide to recognize it instead of keeping on walking. The universe has many dimensions, if these words can accompany you, be your travel-mate... And if you realize you've forgotten where you are sitting at this moment, then you have your proof to believe that words are not one-dimensional.
When you look at a line, what do you see? Do you travel between worlds just by staring at it for a long time?
Now think of that line as a broken piece of a Christmas cane... How many memories, scenes or colours just popped in your mind? Did you visit a cozy living room with a fireplace too?
That's how words are, that's how the novels are brought to life and I won't say it's imagination because deep down I know it's something much more than that. And also the word "imagination", "wild imagination" is the method of underestimating literature and its creators.
"Your imagination runs wild." they say... At most times, not in a positive way.
There are many subconscious reasons below this uncanny phrase, but this is not the place nor time to dive into it.
I have a lot more to say, but this time I want to leave my sentence in the hands of infinity, without a full-stop.
And if you look carefully, there is no real end anyway; but I'll keep that for another visit.
Thank you, for being home today.
Best Wishes.
